Toy Designer and Sculptor
My Name is Oasim Karmieh, I have been working as a 3d artist for over a decade now. I have always loved toys, and like every kid, Lego was a huge part of my life, and it grew from there.
Hey there! I've been lucky enough to work with amazing clients from all corners of the globe. From animated films and shorts to commercials and interactive iPad books, I've had my hands in some pretty cool projects.
But you know what? Once I became a dad, this crazy idea of starting my own business kept popping into my head. I wanted to do something that would make me leap out of bed each morning, excited to get to work and lose track of time.
It took a bit of soul-searching, but the answer was right under my nose the whole time! My office was a treasure trove of figurines - Legos, wooden toys, resin Laughing Buddhas, art toys, you name it. I realized I absolutely love figuring out what makes a character tick and pushing the boundaries with poses and expressions to create truly unique designs.
So, I thought, why not start a small Toy Design studio and bring to life the kind of toys I'd love to have on my own shelf? And that's exactly what I did!
The first toy I designed was Batsy, and wow - the love and support it received blew me away! It was just the boost I needed to launch Karmieh Designer Toys.
